Born in Vorst, Germany, Dr. Alex Ling followed his family's tradition to become a general practitioner. Disillusioned by the pharmaceutical-dominated healthcare system, he advocates for a holistic approach to health, emphasizing lifestyle and diet through self-awareness and spiritual practices. With over twenty years of experience in functional medicine, he guides clients toward wellness and healing.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Ling has a deep passion for art, particularly stone sculpting. Despite his family's disapproval, he studied under Gerhard Richter at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, earning acclaim for his sculptures. His talent for connecting with the raw power of stone and minerals earned him a prestigious award from the Scottish Royal Academy.
Dr. Ling's fascination with megalithic sites in the UK and Ireland began at age 18, leading him to settle in Glastonbury at 29, where he established a successful gallery for his sculptures. During his time in Glastonbury, he founded a group dedicated to preserving and restoring ancient wells, springs, and waterways across Somerset’s farmlands, which had often been intentionally blocked to restrict access to Glastonbury’s healing waters.
Driven by curiosity, Dr. Ling explored ancient stone sites and water sources, leading him to travel extensively. In 2004, he returned to Glastonbury, met his partner Vivienne, and eventually settled in Cornwall. He focuses on functional medicine and researches the sacred elements of gold, frankincense, and myrrh there.
